HELL OF A SITUATION!

I am really out of practice so bear with me. I am approaching close to 5 weeks of pain in the keester episodes with my computer. I cannot access my email (or much of anything else) so I am not ignoring anyone, I just haven't a clue what is going on anywhere. Tomorrow means calls to ATT and/or manufacturer. Couple quick catchups:

-Mae is entering her third trimester (doing pretty well). They are in Wichita, settling in,
check out their blogspot for Ian's "brochure" on his new place.

-Kevin informed me my "DAUGHTER-IN-LAW" was expecting sometime in February.
It was really cute! But yes, grandchild #3 is in the works.

-David is settling into his new job. Cort just got back from visiting her family and starts
school in 2 WEEKS--YIKES!!!

-Gen appears to have the summer's 1st tropical storm/hurricane. Guess medical people
don't evacuate per sea. I loved typhoons on the islands, but was too young (and stupid)
to realize they could be dangerous. I'm biting nails with her on Miami Beach island.

-I understand Miss Emma is working on being a high stepper. Kev said she tries to walk
when you hold her hands. Man! She'll be ONE YEAR OLD in September. Growing too
fast!

-I still need prayers (maybe we should try St. Jude, for impossible causes) to get the
lead out and fill boxes, so keep me in those prayers.

I love you all and wish I could just drop by for a cup of coffee. Gets a little lonely up here.
Guess what? The Colsons house finally sold. It's funny but the block is filling up with exmilitary. Diane & Bob (AFRetired Demolition Expert) is behind me. Course, our place. Pam & Steve (USN Seabees) next store. Their best friends are ex-Marines (medical dc/his war was Desert Storm). Anyway I need to go home. Hugs & Kisses

FOURTH OF JULY!

I had a really neat poem, however I still am having trouble with msn ("IE has a problem & must close immediately. ...send error message to msn") Right now it won't allow me to access "my documents". I just love this computer stuff.......... Mine was quiet (would have loved to see the exploding marshmallows over SD).There were several TV marathons on, watching the Twilight Zone was a very interesting experience. This program was prime time during my teens. There were several episodes I still carried spooky feelings (like how Psycho affected so many). With today's sophistacation (sp) looking at what was "scary" in the 60s had me laughing like crazy--sometimes to tears. It may be a generation thing and be hard for you guys to relate to, but it was throughly enjoyable to look at their version of scary and what someone would come up with today. For those of you who remember "Zorro, The Gay Blade" and his mute sidekick. The sidekick had gotten dressed in this shaggy thing for the costume ball. Zorro thought he looked like a big smelly dog -- the sidekick claimed he was a bear. The point is, 1 of the scariest episodes had a guy in the same suit (I swear they must have dug it out of storage for Zorro). The critter had white face paint, black paint making large dark circles around the eyes, and ran around with his lips turned out till his teeth showed. Rather like sucker ell. I could not believe I had been haunted all these years by such as that.

While watching these Twilight Zone & NCIS marathons I found my mind had often wandered off in memory of past 4th of Julys. Cookouts outs at Elephant Rocks (sometimes with GM& GP), when we played baseball down at the school yard and Father joked how we totaled up our own "Costello" team. Going out to the farm which always allowed us "best seats in the house". How Mae hated the noise, how the boys chased each other in the open field. The KFC dinners we took to our firecracker salesmen & lady. Joe I came across that newspaper article about you & Mae. Do you guys remember that (cheesecake) red/white/blue which David made for dessert one year? How could we ever forget going to Don Mays for the conflagration. I would say all and all, I had a pretty good 4th. Watched the fireworks at the capital & followed it up with James Cagney in "I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy". Yup, a pretty nice day.

I hope all of you had a good 4th too. love, mom........

DON'T I HAVE A SWEET DAUGHTER?

Honey you can "high jack" me anytime! As usual I am doing this blog business with (I think) wishful knowledge. That is to say, almost none. Before I forget Paul's son is receiving a new kidney from his mother-in-law on July 10th so keep them in your prayers and ask anybody else to pray to. Thank you so much for putting my granddaughter's picture in there for me. I love you too, mom..........

Hijacking Your Blog

Hi Mom -
I'm hijacking your blog to give you some help posting the picture. :) I'm not sure what's going wrong on your end, but I hope this will help. If you like, you can delete all of my text and add your own post around the pic.
Love you!
Mae

People on the move.

David & Cort have arrived safely in Plankinton, South Dakota. Dave got a really good job offer and Cort will finish her masters degree at SDU in Sioux Falls.

Mandy, Emma, & Kevin have sold their house and I understand they will be moving in a new appartment complex. I'm not sure if in south Springfield or a bit north of their.

Jill is home from Church Camp. When I was talking to Joe Sunday night I asked if Jill had gotten home ok. He said she was suppose to be coming in on Monday. "At least she better, she's suppose to work". They won't move from Ft. Cambell until he finishes his internship in Jan (?).

Mae, Baby Girl, & Ian will be moving to Witchata around the middle of July. The pictures of their new house are really nice. (The pictures of Baby Girl aka Kumkwat are alot prettier)

Gen is staying in South Miami Beach for the present. Let's pray the hurricane season will be nice to her.

WHERE IS MY OTHER BEAUTIFUL GIRL????

Folks, I am still failing to move Baby Girl on to the "Beautiful Girls". I am really upset about not having knowledge/technique/whatever so you can see Baby Girl (aka Kumkwat). If you have any instructions or suggestions please let me know! If you haven't guessed by now, I am not very computer friendly. And this latest deal is starting to burn my beans! Mae & Ian's little girl is so sweet -- I want to share her picture.

On a totally different trail......... I have watched a couple of the "Monsterquest" programs. One dealt with people seeing what appears to be a "black mountain lion" or some such creature. The experts final analysis is people are (of course) "over reacting, just an unusually large regular cat, etc, etc..." Well folks, I was scanning the news page and there was a heading of "Black Cat Turns Out To Be A Panther" What do ya know.

FOUND BUT STILL SCATTERED

Well Message 1 has been found. I don't know how to move it to this location. Any suggestions are most welcome. Just feel free to jump right in there.
Friday is the big day we have all been counting down to. We may finally find out who Kumkwat (getting bigger--baby notes say size of a green pepper) really is. Mae & Ian's I.D. really grabs my attention (imvillanueva). Can't you just picture this baby (looks like a baby) Hulk standing under a banner reading "I M Villanueva!"? I guess the image would be like a baby sumo wrestler in diapers. Cracks me up every time I think of it. At least Mae is doing well.
Miss Emma is almost 9 mos. old! I understand from Kev & Joe she is really a "hot potato". Just can't keep up with this gal. I had all my grandkitties and granddogs and then came Emma. The kids gave me a picture of her up held arm with her index finger pointing skyward letting all know she is NUMERO UNO!
Country Days are over. Now is the church's picnic. I hope the weather is better. It was sooo hot and humid. Weather people say this week should be in the 80s...sure hope so. Nothing more to share so I'll sign off with a Mr. Spock's \\// Live long and prosper. ; o )

LOST IN BLOG

I seem to have gotten myself lost in "internet space". When I opened this blog, I had composed a message. I felt proud of having navigated this far. I was standing on the high dive, ready to make my move to join my children in the adventure of "blogging"! Words can't really express my thoughts when I navigated to my blog and there was no message posted. At first I just stared at this 70's wallpaper of varigated beige and green dots. My mind incapable of understanding how my message got lost. Of course there were "no postings". There was no message!
Coming from the era of paper, postage stamps, books, etc. this experience left me with unrealistic frustration. Before PCs and Laptops, one would engage in moving things as you searched for the missing message. You'd mutter to anyone who cared to listen, "Where is the blasted thing!" "It has to be mixed up in here somewhere!" The natural instinct is to move your hands towards the screen as you are thinking it must be underneath ... . Sorry. Computer screens do not allow you to manually flip them. Matter of fact the machine is quite sensitive to such manhandling.
Idea!! Call in the experts before I accidently erase this message. I'll see if Mae is home. Love to all.
